Pako, also known as fiddlehead fern, is an edible fern that is native to the Philippines and is widely distributed in Asian countries and the United States. It is a terrestrial fern with a creeping rhizome and stout black roots. The leaves are 2- or 3-pinnate, and can reach a height of more than 1 meter.
